Au Petit Coin Breton: A Hidden Gem for French Cuisine

Cuisine: French Canadian

Sometimes, it’s the quick stops that surprise you the most.

We popped into Au Petit Coin Breton for a simple bite—and ended up discovering one of the best French onion soups we’ve ever tasted (outside of France, of course).

This French onion soup from Au Petit Coin Breton was rich, cheesy, and comforting.

The soup was everything you’d want it to be: rich, perfectly caramelized onions, velvety broth with deep, savory flavor, and that crown of melted cheese and crusty bread that makes every spoonful feel like a hug. It tasted honest, nostalgic, and incredibly authentic—like a bite of Brittany right in the heart of Quebec City.

A hidden gem worth every spoon.

It’s cozy, classic, and comforting—definitely a spot to bookmark when you’re wandering the cobbled streets and looking for a quiet culinary moment that hits all the right notes.
