Must-Try Dishes at Dali Restaurant: Tapas and More

Cuisine: Spanish tapas

Dali Restaurant & Tapas Bar | Somerville, MA

Tucked away in Somerville, Dali Restaurant & Tapas Bar is a gem for those seeking an authentic Spanish experience without leaving Massachusetts. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant decor and eclectic ambiance transport you—colorful ceramics, candlelit corners, and rustic charm make this spot feel straight out of Spain.

We kicked off our meal with a classic Pan con Tomate—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect starter. Next came the Gambas al Ajillo, sizzling garlic shrimp that were absolutely packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The Costillas de Vaca (braised beef short ribs) were good, though not the standout dish of the evening.

Pan con Tomate – Fresh, rustic, and full of flavor – Spanish simplicity done right
Gambas al Ajillo – Sizzling garlic shrimp that stole the show – Served hot, buttery and full of punch
Costilla de Vaca – Tender braised beef short ribs – Rich and hearty, perfect for sharing

The Arroz Negro, made with squid ink, was a highlight—briny, rich, and perfect for seafood lovers. We also shared the Paella Valenciana, a solid version of the traditional dish. While we wished for a bit crisper on the bottom, the flavors were all there and very satisfying.

Paella Valenciana – Golden rice, rich flavors, and just the right amount of saffron. A classic that never disappoints

We sipped on red sangrias throughout the meal—refreshing, fruity, and well-balanced. And for dessert? Churros served with dulce de leche and chocolate—a warm, indulgent finish to a memorable meal.

Dali is a great choice for a cozy date night or a lively evening with friends. It’s lively, charming, and full of delicious surprises. If you’re ever in Somerville, make this your next stop.
